Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. If using cornstarch, add it as well.
  2. Using an electric mixer, beat the mixture on medium speed until soft peaks form.
  3. Increase the speed to high and continue to whip until stiff peaks form and the cream holds its shape.
  4. Use immediately or refrigerate until ready to use.

Notes

Chill your mixing bowls and beaters for best results. Store in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days in the fridge.
