Crust and Filling Ingredients
  • 1 pie crust 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 6 strips 6 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled Use your preferred bacon type.
  • 1 cup 1 cup broccoli florets, chopped Feel free to substitute with other veggies.
  • 1 cup 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Experiment with different cheeses if desired.
  • 4 large 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with half-and-half or whole milk.
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the pie crust in a pie dish and pre-bake for about 10 minutes.
  3. In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Set aside and crumble.
  4. In the same skillet, add broccoli and sauté for a few minutes until tender.
  5. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  6. Spread the crumbled bacon, sautéed broccoli, and shredded cheese evenly in the pre-baked pie crust.
  7. Pour the egg mixture over the filling.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the quiche is set and golden.
  9. Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 2 months. Reheat in the microwave or oven.
