Sandwich Ingredients
  • 2 slices Ciabatta or baguette bread Choose crusty yet soft bread.
  • 4 oz Prosciutto Can swap for smoked turkey for variation.
  • 4 oz Brie cheese Use creamier Brie for a richer flavor.
  • 2 tbsp Fig jam Can substitute with honey or sweet chutney.
  • 1 cup Fresh arugula Use fresh over wilted greens.
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil Drizzle to enhance flavors.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season to preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the ciabatta or baguette in half.
  2. Spread a layer of fig jam on the bottom half.
  3. Layer slices of Brie cheese over the fig jam.
  4. Add slices of prosciutto on top of the cheese.
  5. Top with fresh arugula.
  6. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Close the sandwich and slice into portions.
  8. Serve immediately or wrap for a picnic.

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to two days, wrapped tightly for freshness. Assemble without arugula and olive oil if making ahead of time, adding them just before serving for optimal taste.
