  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until fully incorporated.
  5. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  2. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Serve fresh from the oven for an ooey-gooey experience. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for 5-7 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
