Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
- Mix in the melted butter until well incorporated.
- Add the sugar, egg, and vanilla; stir until combined.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture, then mix in the flour until just incorporated.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
Notes
Serve warm with butter or enjoy with vanilla ice cream. Store at room temperature for up to 3 days, in the fridge for a week, or freeze for up to 3 months.
