Mini Sandwiches

These delightful mini sandwiches, with creamy cheese and ham, are quick and easy to prepare, making them perfect for snacks or gatherings.

Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 4 tablespoons cream cheese (softened)
  • 4 teaspoons mustard
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices deli ham
  • 1 cup baby lettuce leaves To taste
For the Bread
  • 6 slices bread Any type of your choice

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix cream cheese and mustard until smooth.
  2. Lay out 3 slices of bread. Spread a thin layer of the cream cheese mixture on each (using about half of it).
Stacking
  1. Stack 2 slices of cheddar on one slice, add 1 or 2 slices of ham, and a few lettuce leaves.
  2. Top with another slice of bread (spread side facing down) and repeat the stacking with 1 slice of cheese, ham, lettuce, and the last slice of bread.
  3. Gently press down to secure everything.
  4. Repeat with the other 3 slices of bread.
Cutting & Serving
  1. Cut each sandwich in half and stick 6 toothpicks into each half before cutting around them.
  2. Transfer your mini masterpieces onto a serving tray and enjoy!

Notes

You can make these ahead of time and store them in the fridge for up to 3 days. For a flavor twist, try using flavored cream cheese or add tomatoes or avocados. Can be frozen, just be aware of texture changes after thawing.
