Preparation
  1. Gather your ingredients, ensuring that your cream cheese and butter are at room temperature.
  2. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) and lightly grease your cookie sheets or line them with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the unsalted butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Incorporate the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
Baking
  1. Roll tablespoonfuls of dough into balls and flatten them slightly on the prepared cookie sheets.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 15 minutes, or until slightly golden at the edges.

Notes
