- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan.
- Sauté the sliced onions in the bacon drippings until caramelized and golden brown.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, pepper, and a splash of Irish stout for flavor. Shape into four patties.
- Increase the heat to medium-high in the skillet and add the burgers. Cook about 4 minutes per side for medium.
- Lightly butter the insides of the brioche buns and toast them until golden.
- For the whiskey sauce, mix sour cream, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and a hint of whiskey until smooth.
- Assemble your burger: Place a patty on the bun, top with onions, crispy bacon, cheddar, and drizzle with whiskey sauce, then add the top bun.
- Serve immediately.
