Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh shrimp recommended
  • 1 cup corn kernels (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cups seafood stock or chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • to taste Chopped parsley for garnish

Method
 

Cooking
  1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
  2. Add the corn and cook for a few more minutes.
  3. Pour in the seafood stock and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce the heat and add the shrimp, cooking until they turn pink, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and Old Bay seasoning. Allow to simmer for about 10 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For extra texture, top with crispy bacon bits or toasted bread crumbs. To adjust spice level, add a dash of hot sauce before serving.
