Pastry Ingredients
  • 1 sheet sheet of puff pastry, thawed and cut into 4 squares Ensure the pastry is completely thawed.
  • 1 can can of apple pie filling You can use homemade filling if preferred.
  • 1 large egg For egg wash.
  • 1 tablespoon tablespoon of water Mix with egg for egg wash.
  • to taste Raw sugar for topping For added sweetness and crunch.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the thawed puff pastry squares on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of apple pie filling onto the center of each pastry square.
  4. Fold each square diagonally to form triangles, then curve the straight edges inward and press with a fork to seal.
  5. Whisk together the egg and water until combined, then brush each croissant with this mixture.
  6. Sprinkle each pastry generously with raw sugar.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until puffed up and golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or caramel sauce for a delightful treat. For a twist, sprinkle cinnamon on top.
