Preparation
- Generously coat the beef roast with steak seasoning, salt, and pepper, pressing the seasonings in.
- Thinly slice the onion and lay it at the bottom of the crockpot.
- Place the seasoned beef roast on top of the onions and pour the Arby’s sauce, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce over the meat.
Cooking
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours until the beef is fork-tender.
- Carefully remove the beef and shred using two forks, discarding any large bits of fat.
- Return the shredded beef to the crockpot with the juices and onions, reducing the heat to the warm setting.
- Gradually stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and heavy cream until a creamy sauce forms.
- Lightly toast the onion buns, then pile on the cheesy beef mixture and serve immediately.
Notes
Serve with a side of crispy potato chips or a fresh garden salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
