Ingredients
  

Churro Dough
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Coating
  • 1/2 cup sugar for coating
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, and sugar; bring to a boil.
  2. Add flour, baking powder, and salt; stir until a dough forms.
  3. Let cool slightly, then add vanilla extract.
  4. Roll the dough into small bite-sized pieces.
Cooking
  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place churro bites in a single layer.
  3. Cook for 8-10 minutes until golden and crispy.
  4. In a bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon; toss churro bites in mixture while still warm.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftover churro bites in the fridge for 2-3 days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in the air fryer to restore crunch. For a unique flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg or roll bites the same size for even cooking. You can also incorporate chocolate into the dough for a gooey filling.
