Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked rice, shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, French onion soup, sour cream, garlic powder, and onion powder. Use a rubber spatula to mix thoroughly.
- Season with salt and pepper, starting with less due to the soups already having salt.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheese and 1 cup of French fried onions over the top.
Baking
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes until hot and bubbly.
- Remove the foil, add the remaining ½ cup of cheese and ½ cup of French fried onions, then return to the oven uncovered for another 10 minutes.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Pair with a crisp salad or garlic bread for a complete meal. Store leftovers in the fridge for 3–4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) until warmed through.
