Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Carefully stir in the boiling water until well combined.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans.
Baking
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
- Frost with your favorite chocolate frosting and enjoy!
Notes
Store any leftover cake in an airtight container at room temperature for about 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze for about 2-3 months. Reheat slices in the microwave for about 10 seconds.
