Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Mixing
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour mixture, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with flour. Mix until just combined.
Baking
- Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with the batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let them cool before frosting with your favorite vanilla buttercream.
Notes
For optimal results, allow butter and eggs to reach room temperature. Don’t over mix the batter to avoid density. Chill frosting if adding sprinkles for better adherence.
