Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4x8 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  4. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in.
  6. Stir in the flour until just incorporated.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan.
Baking
  1. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For serving, slice while warm and enjoy with butter or honey. It can be stored at room temperature for 3-4 days or refrigerated for a week.
