Baking Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until nice and smooth.
- Mix in the oil and sugar (if using), followed by the vanilla extract.
- Add the baking soda and salt, and mix everything well.
- Stir in the flour until just combined — we don’t want to overmix!
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Enjoy warm with butter or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an indulgent treat. Can be stored at room temperature wrapped in plastic for 3-4 days or frozen for about 3 months.
