  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed Chilled butter enhances flakiness.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Add your favorite cheese for flavor.
  • 3/4 cup whole milk Can substitute with almond milk for a lighter option.
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley Used for garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the cheddar cheese.
  5. Pour in the milk and mix just until combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Remove from the oven and brush with butter for shine.
  3. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Store biscuits in an airtight container for up to 2 days in the fridge, or freeze for up to a month. Reheat at 350°F until warm.
