  • 1 deep-dish Deep-dish Pie Crust
  • 2 medium Yellow Onions
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 8 ounces Bacon
  • 4 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream/Half-and-Half
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese Shredded

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare your pie crust in a greased pie dish.
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat, add the onions, and caramelize until golden brown and fragrant.
  3. Cook the bacon until it’s chewy, then chop it into pieces and mix it with the caramelized onions.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Assembly
  1. Sprinkle the bacon and onion mixture into the pie crust, pour the egg mixture over, and then top with shredded Cheddar cheese.
Cooking
  1. Bake for about 35-40 minutes or until the quiche is set and slightly golden on top.
  2. Allow to cool slightly before slicing.

Notes

This quiche can be served with fresh fruit for a pop of color, such as berries or slices of melon. Sprinkle with fresh herbs before serving for added flavor. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen for up to a month.
