Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
- Mix in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
- Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
- Finally, mix in the flour.
Baking
- Pour the batter into a buttered 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Slice it warm for the best aroma. Enjoy plain, with butter, or with peanut butter or chocolate chips.
