Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2-3 medium medium apples (Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Gala) Choose apples with natural sweetness for the best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Adjust according to taste, or mix with other spices like nutmeg or ginger for variation.

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash and dry the apples thoroughly. Core them using an apple corer or a small knife.
  2. Slice the apples as thinly and uniformly as possible (about 1/8 inch thick) using a sharp knife or a mandoline slicer.
Cooking
  1. Place the apple slices in a single layer in your air fryer basket, ensuring they don't overlap.
  2. Sprinkle the apple slices evenly with ground cinnamon.
  3. Set your air fryer to 300°F (150°C) and cook for 8 minutes.
  4. Afterward, flip the slices and continue cooking for another 7-10 minutes, keeping an eye on them to prevent burning.
Cooling and Serving
  1. When the chips look dry and slightly browned at the edges, remove them.
  2. Transfer the apple chips to a wire rack to cool completely.
  3. Enjoy as a snack or pair with peanut butter or almond butter.

Notes

These apple chips stay fresh for about 1 week in an airtight container at room temperature. For longer storage, refrigerate for up to 2 weeks. Reheat briefly in the air fryer to revive their crunchiness.
