  • 1 cup Nutella Chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour Plus 1 tablespoon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 large egg Can substitute with applesauce or flaxseed meal for a vegan version

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a medium bowl, sift together 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour with 1 teaspoon of baking powder.
  4. In another bowl, crack in 1 large egg and beat it lightly. Then, add 1 cup of Nutella and mix until smooth.
  5. Gradually fold the flour mixture into the Nutella mixture using a spatula until you have a glossy, thick dough.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, flatten slightly and leave space between each.
Baking
  1. Bake for 9-10 minutes until cookies have slightly soft edges and barely set centers.
  2. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container for about a week at room temperature. For longer storage, keep in the fridge for up to two weeks or freeze for up to two months.
